#FabFive

So... unless you are living under a rock, you are currently aware that it is time for the Summer Olympics 2012 in London, England! And my favorite sport in the olympics is of course women's gymnastics! And can I just say that I am a little obsessed with this group of girls. They truly are champions!

Graduation, the end of one chapter and beginning of the next!

Last night was a very special night for me and a dream come true! Yes, that's right, I just received my Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner! I cannot believe that this day is finally here! I could not have made it to this place without the love and support of my sweet husband, family and friends. I wore my grandmother's nursing pin that was given to me when I received my BSN- so special! I miss her so much, and I wish she were here to see this day. But I know that she is looking down from heaven and smiling.

I am truly so excited to get this next chapter under way! I am ready to get boards behind me and find a new job :) I am also so excited for this extra time without school work! Ben and I are starting a year of fun, and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for our lives!

Me with my "apricot" hood, a dream come true!

St. George's = State Champions!

St. Georges's football team are now the 2011 State Champions! It was such a a fun trip and a fun game to watch. On Wednesday night, the girls and I drove up together and went to the Cheesecake Factory, while the boys were having football meetings at the hotel. Thursday was game day! SGIS vs USJ. We were all so nervous and excited! The game was exciting and tense right from the very first play! We were up the whole game, but it remained close the whole time. With one minute left in the game, we intercepted the ball, and I knew the game was over! After the game, the girls and I got to go on the field and see the boys! So exciting!! Final score SGIS 28- USJ 23.

I am so proud of my husband and the whole St. George's football staff and players. It was such an exciting road that led us here, and I am so proud of the whole team! It truly was an exciting season, and I am happy that I was able to witness it and be a part of it! GO GRYPHONS!

Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Today is a day to reflect on what we have to be grateful for, and I have so much to be thankful for today. The Lord has blessed both Ben and me in ways we could not have imagined. Even though I had to work today, I am so very thankful to have a job I love and awesome co-workers and friends to share this day with. I am thankful for my loving and supportive husband who loves me unconditionally. I am thankful for my loving family who I am able to share laughter and love with, and I am thankful for a wonderful church family. I am also thankful for the memories that I have of sharing the holidays with my closest friends and family. Love to you all!

Hello Fall!

So... I cannot believe that I have not blogged since September! WOW! Needless to say, things have been pretty hectic for the past few months. I only have about 3 weeks of clinical left this semester and then only 1 more semester to go! Ben has been keeping pretty busy with football as well; in fact, they won their first playoff game last week, so we are heading to Nashville to play DCA this Friday. I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner! I am loving this time of the year right now and cannot wait to start playing Christmas music. But for now, just a few things that I am loving this season.....

1. Loving my steve madden boots.

2. The leaves changing! Unfortunately, it only lasts for a very short time around here.

3. Bundling up on a cool Friday night to watch some football with great friends!

4. Honey crisp apples! Which you can only get around this time of year. DELISH!!!

That's all for now. Will try my very best to continue posting regularly about our happenings! :)
